behind the bar [I]

Here goes nothing. 

Every day working in a specialty coffee shop is different (shocker, I know). Most days, if not all, include many moments of absurdity. "behind the bar" is my attempt to document the best of these moments. 

To be completely honest, I'm documenting them more for myself. I'm not the best writer and I'm not sure who, if anyone, will read this. But I do know that I love what I do and I don't want to forget some of these moments. 


Today was the grand opening at the shop I'm working at. We've been open for about 5 weeks but decided to celebrate today. (For some reason that was really hard for customers to understand.) We had a line out the door from about 9am-8pm. Needless to say those of us behind the bar were labeled "survivors" (See photo above)

that's what they said:

"I'm here to eat your beans"
